Make-up Brushes ♡

Okay, if you wear make up then you need a set of make up brushes. Personally, I just really hate applying any type of make up with my fingers, even lip gloss! It's messy, my long fingernails always get in the way, and most of all it's just unsanitary and gross. I'd love to promote some fabulous make up brushes that can be picked up at your local Target! E.l.f. is a cosmetics line that stands for "Eyes, Lips, Face" and they provide a wide range of quality products for very, very little money.

E.l.f has 3 lines of beauty products- Classic, Studio, and Natural. All of the brushes I'm going to recommend you today are $3 and from the Studio Line. You will also see the $1 each Classic e.l.f. brushes in your Target but I do not recommend those. They suffice as brushes but are nowhere near the quality of the Studio brushes that are only $2 more. If you want soft, sturdy brushes that will last you a long time without falling apart, take my word on that!
Now, I know that a girl on the go may not want to have to deal with a full set of brushes. So, in this post I will be introducing you to my top 6 Studio Line brushes that I think everyone needs while also including the description of them found on the e.l.f. website as well as a small summary from me!

1) e.l.f. Studio Powder Brush

This new anti bacterial, synthetic haired Taklon brush is softer and more absorbent and can be used with wet or dry products. Be a professional makeup artist and create a flawless look with this e.l.f. studio brush!-Creates a professional sculpted look
-Full coverage color
-Use for powder or blush for perfect contouring
*Vegan Friendly

Okay, favorite brush award. I use this everyday for my powder but what I love about this is that it's dense and flat so it could make a wonderful foundation brush but it's also soft so it blends well and makes a good powder brush. You could also turn it and use the corner of the brush to make finer, more concentrated line for contouring and/or highlighting.

2) e.l.f. Studio Complexion Brush

This new anti bacterial, synthetic haired Taklon brush is softer and more absorbent and can be used with wet or dry products. Be a professional makeup artist and create a flawless look with this e.l.f. studio brush!
Creates an even and natural finish

  • Expertly sweeps all types of powders across the entire face and sculpts features beautifully
  • Use with pressed, loose, or translucent powders, blush or bronzer
    *Vegan Friendly

  • This is another really popular brush from this line! Since I use the Powder Brush for my powder, I typically pull this out to apply an allover shimmer/finishing/translucent powder to lightly dust over my make up. This can obviously also be used for your main powder. It applies a more sheer layer of powder than the previous brush and of course it's amazingly soft.

  • 3) e.l.f. Studio Blush Brush

This new anti bacterial, synthetic haired Taklon brush is softer and more absorbent and can be used with wet or dry products. Be a professional makeup artist and create a flawless look with this e.l.f. studio brush!
Creates a defined and sculpted look

  • The tailored design allows for easy maneuvering and precise color application
  • Use to apply blush or bronzer
    *Vegan Friendly

  • What separates this from an average blush brush is that it's tapered, so you dab one side of it into your blush and it makes it easy to perfectly sweep it onto the apples of your cheeks. This brush is also multi-purpose because the tip can be a good contouring brush and this brush could also be used for highlighting. Again, it's so soft and therefore so very pleasant to use.

  • 4) e.l.f. Studio Small Angled Brush

This new anti bacterial, synthetic haired Taklon brush is softer and more absorbent and can be used with wet or dry products. Be a professional makeup artist and create a flawless look with this e.l.f. studio brush!
    Creates precise color application

  • Creates even, thin and straight lines every time
  • Use to apply lip color, eyebrow color, or to line eyes
    *Vegan Friendly

  • I only use this brush to dip in my gel eyeliner pot and make a perfect cateye design. This brush is perfect for any type of design you want to create on your eyelid above your lashline because it provides so much control. You can dip it in wet eyeshadow to make it look like liner with this brush because it's so precise and easy to perfect.

  • 5) e.l.f. Studio Concealer Brush

This new anti bacterial, synthetic haired Taklon brush is softer and more absorbent and can be used with wet or dry products. Be a professional makeup artist and create a flawless look with this e.l.f. studio brush!
    -Creates even and full coverage
-Applies and blends concealer smoothly and evenly to eyes, face, and blemishes
-Use with any cream products, including concealer, foundation, primer, eye cream, or cream shadow
    *Vegan Friendly

I recommend this brush because I know that most girls use concealer and most concealers come in a pot. That means you need a brush for it! This may seem unnecessary to some, but think about it--you're trying to conceal a blemish. Do you think it would be a good idea to rub your unsanitary, oily fingers to rub your concealer into it? No, use this brush instead.

    6) e.l.f. Studio Retractable Lip Brush

This Taklon brush can be used with wet or dry products. Compact and retractable brush is perfect for precision application and mess-free storage.
Use to apply lip color, fill in fine lines, or line the outer rims of your lips for extra definition.
The tapered tip bristles are designed for easy and controlled application. Be a professional makeup artist and create a
flawless look with this e.l.f. Studio brush.

Just as I said with the Concealer Brush, you don't need to be dipping your fingers into pots to apply make up. It's gross. For all of those messy, sticky lipgloss pots that you avoid wearing because you don't feel like smearing your fingers in them, get this! Pretty lipglosses sometimes come in a pot and instead of being turned off by their inconvenience, you should invest in this brush and turn your lipgloss application into something a little more fancy.

So, there you have it! My top 6 must-have e.l.f. Studio Line Brushes. At only $3 each, I say they're all definitely worth the price. Again, they can be found at Target or online at eyeslipsface.com. I hope you try out at least one of these fabulous brushes and discover that brushes really do make a huge difference. Also, check out e.l.f.'s Brush Shampoo and Daily Brush Cleaner. Have fun experimenting~
